My Fair Lady

Finally, I get to see a real life musical.

That just feels so... I'm submerged in the music and the act. My heart just sort of throbs, the same when I was watching Riverdance on VCD. But this is the real stage, so you can magnify the feeling by 100 times. I'm still floating about when the show ended. I just love performances like this, for no reason.

It was wonderful how they managed the transition between scenes. It was so natural, so blended in with the show. There was no rush and no fuss, and yet the scenes changed smoothly, fluidly. I especially remembered the part where they push the props in and out of the stage slowly, yawning and stretching, just like any normal street people would when setting up for the day in early morning. One of the props they pushed out was actually the lamp post on the street. :P

It was really great how they bring out the expressions and emotions of the characters. How Professor Higgins had actually grown attached to Eliza although he claimed that he didn't want a woman in his life. How Eliza was mad because the man she liked was rather a piece of wood, a blockhead I would say.

I have never known too, that a strolling man smoking on the street could make such a huge difference.

Thanks to the person who brought me to my first real English musical. Looking forward to my next musical!
